1. Who we are

A1 Locals is operated by Saguaro Media Group LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect through a1locals.com and its business pages, how we use it, and your choices. It works together with our Terms of Use.

2. Information you give us

• Public business details: business name, type of business, description, address or service area, cities served, phone number, hours, website link, and, only if you choose to show it, a public email address. These appear on your page and in our directory.
• Your private email address: used for your account. It is not shown on your page.
• Messages you send us, such as questions or removal requests.
• Your @a1locals.com email name, if you ask for one. Messages sent to that address pass through our email provider so they can be forwarded to your private email. We don't read or keep them, except as needed to deliver them or stop abuse.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the Service running, secure, and free of spam and abuse. We keep a record of when you created your page and which version of our Terms was in effect. We don't currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add them, for example for advertising, we'll update this policy first and offer any choices the law requires.

• Sign-in cookie. If you sign in to edit your page, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, until you sign out. It isn't used for anything else.
• Approximate area for "near me" searches. If you search without typing a city or ZIP code, we use the approximate area of your internet connection (city level, provided by our hosting provider) to show nearby results. We don't store it. If you tap "Use my location," your browser asks your permission first, and we use the location only to find the nearest ZIP code for that search.
• Counts for business owners. When someone taps Call, Directions, or Website on a member's listing, or views a member's page, we add one to a daily count for that business. We don't record who tapped.
• Maps. Maps on business pages are provided by OpenFreeMap using OpenStreetMap data, so your browser loads map images from their servers, which receive your IP address like any website. To place a business on the map, we send the business address (not anything about you) to the U.S. Census Bureau's free address lookup.

4. Public listings from other sources

For businesses that haven't created a page, we may show basic, publicly available facts, such as name, category, city, phone number, and website link, marked "Unclaimed listing." Owners can claim or ask us to remove these listings at any time.

5. How we use your information

• To build, show, and host your page and our directory.
• To send your confirmation link and up to three reminders if you haven't confirmed yet.
• To let you manage, change, or delete your page.
• To contact you about your page, your account, and changes to our Service or Terms.
• To send occasional updates, tips, and offers from A1 Locals. Every one includes an unsubscribe link.
• To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse, and to follow the law.

6. We never sell your email address

We do not sell, rent, or trade your private email address or other personal information to anyone. We share information only:

• With service providers who help us run A1 Locals, such as website hosting and email delivery, and only so they can provide those services to us.
• When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or A1 Locals.
• If A1 Locals is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy, including our promise not to sell your email, would continue to apply to your information.

Your public business details are, by design, visible to anyone. Search engines and other people may see, copy, or index them.

7. How long we keep information

• Pages that aren't confirmed within 7 days are deleted.
• Confirmed pages stay up until you delete them or we remove them under our Terms.
• When a page is deleted, we remove it from the site promptly. Copies may stay in backups for a limited time.

8. Your choices

• Unsubscribe: use the link in any update or offer email. You'll still get essential messages about your page.
• Change or delete your page: through your page's manage link, or by contacting us.
• "This wasn't me": if you got a confirmation email for a page you didn't create, use the link in that email to delete the page and stop all emails to that address.
• Access or deletion requests: contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and your private email is never shown publicly. No online service is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

A1 Locals is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top and email page owners before the changes take effect.
